Cougars Gain CCS Section Experience
Cougars Gain CCS Section Experience
This past weekend the HMB Cougars sent six wrestlers to the Central Coast Section Tournament. There were 80 schools representing the best of the bay area leagues. The top 4 placers at section move on to the California State Tournament.
A majority of the Cougar squad have never been to the meet and were looking forward to competing in sections. Overall, it was a productive weekend for the boys. John Claitor lived up to his 2nd seed in the (125) bracket and took home a 2nd place medal from the event. He lost to the best in finals...the defending state champion. John will go to the California State meet on March 5.
Other wrestlers who did well are Nate Seaton (130) a sophomore who went 3-2 and wrestled into the second day of the tourney. Joe Lowman (145) a freshman, won 2 matches in the high caliber tourney. Bryce Mcgaw also went 2-2 and lost some tough ones.
Great showing gentlemen!!!
Good Luck at State John
