James and Claitor lead Team at Harvest Park TOC TournamentThe HMB Cunha Wrestling Team continued its strong showing in Northern California. They competed in the Harvest Park Middle School TOC Wrestling Tournament in Pleasanton on Sat and came away with a bunch of medals. 6th Grader Cody James wrestled in his first Varsity Division tournament and captured 1st place in the 85 lbs division. Cody qualifies for the Norcal TOC Tournament next year. He dominated every opponent including beating the #1 and #2 seeds to win the gold medal. 8th Grader Spencer Boling continued his winning ways by placing 3rd in the Varsity Division, 90 lbs weight class. 4th Grader Jimmy Claitor took on the 6th Graders, JV Division and dominated his way to the finals. However, he lost a close match 8-4 and had to settle for 2nd place. 6th Graders Mike Provencio placed 3rd at 130 lbs and Miguel Camacho placed 2nd at 160 lbs JV Division. OUR FIRST LEAGUE DUEL MEET IS THIS TUESDAY, MARCH 30 AT CUNHA SCHOOL 4:30PM. Charles Armstrong Middle School and San Francisco Elite Wrestling Club will grapple with our team. |
